Find Senior Living and Care Options
Making the right care decision for your loved one can be a daunting task filled with stress, tension and pressure. There are so many assisted living, memory care, nursing, and other care options available in Houston - the terminology is often unfamiliar. Senior Care Authority® will streamline the process to make it easier for you to make an informed decision.
Our national team of Senior Care Advisors spends countless hours inspecting locations, from mid-to-larger size communities as well as smaller, residential care homes, meeting the staff and reviewing state reports to advise you of any citations that may have been issued against a particular location.
A Senior Care Advisor will meet personally with you to discuss your options, accompany you on visits to locations and ensure that all your questions are answered. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way. We would be happy to put you in contact with an advisor in your area who will provide you with expert advice on any of the assisted living locations listed in our directory of locations.

Get individualized assistance with your loved one
Sometimes our families just need more help with challenging transitions and decision-making. This may include facilitating essential conversations between family members, home care agency or caregiver selection, connections to valuable resources or regular visitations with a loved one providing "peace of mind" to family members when they are unable to visit themselves.
It can be comforting to have someone partner with you who is outside the emotional landscape of the family, doing research, talking to providers, organizing paperwork, or finding those "needle in a haystack" resources. A go-to person you can turn to when things get overwhelming. Whatever the need, we can customize our services for your family or provide you with vetted referral sources.

This is the time of year for family gatherings and holiday celebrations. Perhaps your travel plans include a trip with someone who has had a decline in cognition that will require extra vigilance and preparation.
Frank Samson, host of Boomers Today and founder of Senior Care Authority, takes on a different role and is interviewed by Marcy Baskin, Managing Director of Senior Care Authority. The company is celebrating it's 10 year anniversary in helping seniors through consultation on senior housing and a myriad of other services to help alleviate the stress on families. In addition, Samson discusses how he has expanded through a franchise model and providing these services throughout the United States and Canada.

The holidays can be a very exciting time for many; yet the idea of gathering with family and friends may require some extra planning to keep your older guests safe.

Cynthia Cash

Cynthia researches assisted living facilities, residential care homes, dementia and memory care locations to provide families with the best possible options and least amount of stress, when trying to find a place for their loved one.
Before helping seniors, Cynthia was in the insurance industry for more than 25 years providing fraud, financial and underwriting analysis. My insurance career began as a forensic analyst with Travis County District Attorney’s Office Special Prosecution Division Insurance Fraud Unit. She analyzed and reconstructed financial records to identify concealed transactions relating to allegations of criminal activity. The last 10 years of her insurance career were spent as a Medical Professional Liability Underwriter and Insurance Agent.
Cynthia graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She then obtained the highest designation for insurance professionals, the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), designation in 2002.
Most of Cynthia’s time is spent touring and reviewing assisted living facilities, residential care homes, independent living locations, dementia and memory care facilities.
Cynthia’s work is at no cost to the family. She receives commission similar to a realtor or apartment locator from the facility chosen by the family.
